If you’re familiar with the party scene in this ever changing city of Bangkok, there’s no doubt that you have stepped into one of the pumped up fiascos hosted by Gaurav Sehgal, 23, Managing Director of Indus Events. “I’d say Bangkok’s high potential for a grooving nightlife is what gets me going,” Gaurav shares the inspiration behind his enthusiasm to create events in Bangkok and for Bangkok!

“I’m sure most people will agree with me when I say the nightlife here has somewhat hit a plateau and needs a bit of a push to rise up again, which I already see slowly happening,” he continues. Gaurav’s previous events include Tablatronic, featuring DJ Sunju Hargun spinning house music along side a live Tabla player, and Studio 54, a 70’s event featuring DJ Florian de Lux and Stefanie Love of the Bangkok Theme Club. His recent event featuring the famous Panjabi MC and DJ Sumit Sethi on July 5th at 808, RCA, was a huge success.

Don’t be surprised if you spot him at the happening events around town in his neat blaze, humbly mingling and networking the evening away, because for our Gaurav, most of his free time is spent doing what he does best, which is providing a good time for people. “I hope this doesn’t sound cheesy but because I spend most of the day working at Advertising & Media Consultants (family business, and home to Lookeast Magazine, Thailand Airline Timetable, and The Secretary), and most evenings at Indus, a lot of my free time is spent planning out themes, DJ’s, promotions, and everything else events entail!”

The graduate of The University of San Francisco, and an ex-DJ himself, is now handling most of the events and organizing parties for his family restaurant and bar, Indus (Sukhumvit Soi 26). Make sure to keep an eye out for the “Indus Events” logo on flyers because you’re going to know who the man behind the event is! Gaurav Sehgal is now a sole agent and manager for Thailand for several overseas artists and is constantly working out ways to keep Bangkokians in the groove.

His upcoming event, ‘Hedonism,’ is definitely the one to watch out for. “We’ll be featuring all shades of house music that night, between funky, vocal, uplifting, progressive, and electro,” Gaurav gives us the tidbits, and the word is DJ Arun R, is Hong Kong’s resident spinner for the Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi events, who has also spun with our favorite DJ Tiesto is really going to rock the place!

Expect more intriguing, one-of-a-kind parties from this young and definite star on the roll, G Sehgal! We can’t wait to see what’s coming next!
