BED’s sixth year anniversary came with ‘THE’ theme, thoughtful, deep, yet very contrasting, “Big Brother is Watching You,” is straight out one of my favorites books, ‘1984′ by George Orwell. We have been to many theme parties in life, from the Caribbean to the black and white, to the Disney theme, or what not, but to actually be at this theme it’s totally inspiring.

Surveillance cameras were everywhere, everyone got the black tube to trance out with, people were actually wearing the dress code, what could be better on a Thursday night, especially when it is BED’s birthday. As always, I am fashionably late and I didn’t expect the place to be packed at 8-ish but it was! There we were the two Lifestyle crew, standing stunned by the scene, police walking from the bar section to the white room with their flash lights, trust me it takes a lot of acting skills to actually pull it off and damn right they did.

I actually didn’t think that we would be recorded and being watched but we were! I grabbed my drink from the white room walking to the bar section only to find the big screen with mini-live surveillance cameras. We can actually see each and every corner of BED and what people are doing, talk about being watched now this is what I am talking about!

Bangkok Invaders stepped up just a little before eleven and spin their magic, from the 80’s classic yet so very funky like, “I’m coming out,” to my favorite track of Robin S. “Show me Love,” and back to the hip hop style with both old school and in tune tracks. We were shaking like there’s no tomorrow after all, it seems to us like Thursdays really are the new Fridays!

Obey BED baby, they do rock!

P.S. To the creative team, this is the most unique theme I have seen and been to in Bangkok, how’d you think of that?!
