I am sure that all of us has that one person that you’ve briefly dated who would call you everytime he/she breaks up with their partner. I know I do and for me we were not even near dating and it was 6 years ago!
Although six years has gone by every year I would receive the same ritual phone call at least once or twice a year from Mr. 8 from a random number…
8: “Who is this?”
S: “Who are you? You called me.”
8: “Oh hey, S it’s 8″
S: “Oh hey …”
8: “I found your number on my phone was wondering which S you are.”
S: “Yeah there’s only one S anyway … how are you?”
8: “I am good … I broke up with my girlfriend and ..”
Besides the fact that it is quite a lame conversation starter considering the fact that it’s been the same line every year! He found my number on his phone, I mean seriously, it’s saved it’s there it’s always been there and he knew who I was.
Last year when I found out that Mr. 8 was officially engaged I was thinking in my mind – No more wondering-which-S-you-are phone called followed by I broke up with my girlfriend conversation. Well, just when you least expect it … nothing last forever not even an engagement let alone the marriage …
Mr. 8 is back … Note to the young, fun, loving 18 year olds or even the ones at 24 … late night phone call after a few dates with a guy you just met might lead to years of non-stop drama …

that’s funny. have heard about exs who called at 3 in the morning after a few drinks, thinking their exs would miss them as much. but this, this is refreshing.
