After my crazy weekend with Miss N, I am now back to reality. Today I started my new job at Bed Supperclub as a Head of Events, PR, and Marketing. Of course, first day at new work place, doesn’t matter where kind of makes you feel like you just moved from one school to another and you’re in the get to know each other phase.
What I didn’t know was that by the afternoon I would be feeling like I finally fit in but I did, pretty quickly. Jumping from Grade 1 to 3 in getting a hang of my new job, I was pretty happy. When 5pm strikes my colleague told me to join a party. Apparently, what we do every month is to dedicate one evening to the staff that shares the same month of birthdays.
There’s a whole ritual of singing a birthday song, buying the cutest cake, lighting candles, with the lights off and the birthday girls/guys makes a wish. I can see how interactive I will be, word is we might go play paint ball soon, and that’s another staff get together.
So I am embracing the positive energy from my new workplace and tomorrow I will be up and bubbly all ready to conquer another adventure. Watch out world, here I come!
