And finally Lifestyle BK officially landed in Bangkok for the public’s eye to see, feel, and be with last night at BED Supperclub. The theme ‘Superstar,’ was definitely the right theme because people were really dressed to kill, and I am sure they had fun playing around with the kinky colorful feathers, along with the crowns, and the blings. I have never seen Bangkok’s party started this early, especially when we are the one hosting, so of course, it goes as we planned. By 8pm, people were flowing in registering, whether they are VIPs or the Press, received our package of gifts, and all of them had a chance to take part in our highlighted photo competition! If you’re familiar with the party scene in this ever changing city of Bangkok, there’s no doubt that you have stepped into one of the pumped up fiascos hosted by Gaurav Sehgal, 23, Managing Director of Indus Events. “I’d say Bangkok’s high potential for a grooving nightlife is what gets me going,” Gaurav shares the inspiration behind his enthusiasm to create events in Bangkok and for Bangkok!

Rising Sehgal

“I’m sure most people will agree with me when I say the nightlife here has somewhat hit a plateau and needs a bit of a push to rise up again, which I already see slowly happening,” he continues. Read more…

The Universal Player Group, creatively enough brought the said to be rising DJ Masashi Osaku to Ibiza Club, Intercontinental Hotel, Bangkok on July 12th. At first glance at the event, I must admit of having a doubt about his so-called talent but having been there at the event last night, Osaku blew the crowds away with his totally ‘Ibiza’ electro-out tunes.

On the upper level of Intercontinental, what may seems to be a fancy hotel with a rather older crowds, down under are full with crowds ranging from celebrated stars like Natalie to Cindy and a socialite like Vachini K. to the writer slash party animals like myself, to the after Indian wedding crowds still in their outfit and wonders what Osaku and Ibiza is all about. It’s amazing what you can do with two hundred baht in Bangkok, well, out of the ordinary, not so every day things that is. Earlier this year, a very good and gay friend of mine recommended me a ‘fortune teller,’ the one that all the straight, gays, and rich visits, well the category sounds just right and very appealing to me.

I decided to drive randomly to Sukhumvit 101/1 to meet Mr. oh-so-popular among the insides, Choke is his name, translated in English, it’s Mr. Luck, well Mr. Luck, doesn’t only tell you about your luck, but apparently your misfortunes and personality, in depth and he has never known you before, kind of thing.

I never really believed in fortune tellers, I believe in my own destiny, but Mr. Luck has got me hooked, what can I say, a cat like me, we’re always curious, especially when it comes to our own fortune, hell yeah I would want to know, and some of them gives me the chill up my spine, but it was worth the third time.

For those of you who are just looking for an activity on a Saturday afternoon and playing pool or putting is a cliche, well you can try your luck with Mr. Luck and don’t forget to keep us posted ;)

I have officially decided that Thursday nights are definitely the new Friday nights in Bangkok, especially in Sukhumvit Soi 11. After David Dunne’s appearance last week at Q Bar, this week, we have a “Twist It Up,” and “Twisted Ice,” launch party at Twisted Republic, a so-called interactive bar opened last November, that is now well, fully activated!

The night begins as early as 8.30 and trust me, it was pretty full from the front to the side, to the inside, crowds range from the hi-so celebrities, well known rappers, and countless VIP guests, and media. Of course, we went inside, loving the idea of one and a half hour free bar, by 9.30, we were pretty much tipsy and that’s when the show begins. Read more…
